Course Description COMING SOON! With CompTIA Tech+, you can explore the beginnings of a diverse range of technology concepts and career paths, from building computers to computer programming, from secure Internet browsing to building databases. CompTIA Tech+ focuses on the essential technology skills and knowledge used daily by skilled technology users both in- and outside of the IT industry. This course can prepare you for the CompTIA Tech+ (FC0-U71) certification examination and for a solid foundation as a tech-fluent technology user. It utilizes a learning progression model to help you learn and build skills related to the course objectives, daily technology interactions, and career skills needed across a variety of fields. This learning methodology uses a series of steps to contextualize what you’re learning, elaborate on areas where additional instruction is needed, and provide relevance through practice and personalized feedback. You’ll then apply what you learned and demonstrate the skills you’ve gained through a series of lab activities and quizzes. This course will prepare students for the CompTIA Tech+ (FC0-U71) certification examination offered by CompTIA. This course does not include registration for the certification exam. Students planning to take the certification exam are required to register with the help of their local school and sit locally for the exam. Windows or Mac Operating System required. Chromebooks and tablets are not sufficient. Scheduling Information COMPLETE COURSES -A complete version of the virtual course. - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months ABBREVIATED COURSES - A shortened course intended for students seeking to make-up failed courses or recover credits. - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. PARTIAL COURSES - A partial version of an online course intended for students temporarily away from classes (i.e. Home Bound Instruction, In/Out-of School Suspension). - Partial courses must be completed by your school's end date Format -Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators.
