Course Description
In AP® Drawing, students will expand their creative ability and analyze and critique artwork. They will demonstrate inquiry through art and design and development of materials, processes, and ideas. Students will first learn about design principles such as the design process, unity, emphasis and focal point, scale and proportion, balance, and rhythm. They will then focus on design elements such as line, shape, pattern and texture, illusion of space, illusion of motion, value, and color. Students will complete projects focusing on the specific principles and elements presented in the course. They will also critique theirs and others artwork.

Students will be responsible for understanding the requirements and deadlines of the AP® Art and Design portfolio as outlined on College Board's website.
