Course Description
This course is specifically designed for students from the state of Tennessee.

This course continues the study of functions started in Algebra 1. Through the study of specific functions: notably linear, exponential, and polynomial functions, students will be able to see the structure of functions, to make generalization about all functions, and to describe the uniqueness of specific functions. Within the study of functions, students will work with various types of real numbers, from rational and irrational to complex. Students will apply properties of numbers and properties of equality to carry out operations with different functions, all with the goal of seeing the applicability to a wide range of phenomena that are natural or of human origin. The focus on transforming functions will help students build connections between the algebraic and graphical representations of functions. The following are the key concepts that students will be studying in this course: Number and Quantities, Vectors and Matrices, Functions, Linear Functions and Equations, Quadratic Functions and Equations, Exponential and Logarithmic Functions and Equations, Trigonometric Functions, Equations, and Identities, Conics, Statistics, and Probability.
