Course Description This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of fundamental concepts and their applications while reinforcing and developing skills essential for continued success as life long learners. This course is a second introductory course to the German language. Students continue their language development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of authentic tasks and situations. The themes covered throughout the course are: free time activities, daily routines, and living. Students will learn additional basic grammar concepts and vocabulary in order to communicate authentically in German language. Culture is incorporated throughout each unit in an effort to help the student gain a more global understanding of cultures and customs worldwide. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. Prerequisites German I (MS) or equivalent Course Materials A microphone is required and a headset is recommended. A German/English dictionary is recommended but not required. Format Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators. Structure Complete : This is the complete version of the virtual course. |
