Course Description This course is specifically designed for students from the state of New York. This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of fundamental concepts and their applications while reinforcing and developing skills essential for continued success as life long learners. Grade 10 provides a snapshot of the world circa 1750. The course continues chronologically up to the present. Several concepts are woven throughout the course including industrialization, nationalism, imperialism, conflict, technology, and the interconnectedness of the world. The last three Key Ideas focus on global issues. While the course emphasizes the importance of historical and spatial thinking, all of the social studies practices and standards are included in the study of global history and geography. Regents based content is applied within the coursework. Prerequisites Global History and Geography 09 Format Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators. Structure Complete : This is the complete version of the virtual course. |
