Course Description Although this course is self paced, students are required to record their physical activities in a Weekly Fitness Log. Logs much be submitted each week. Logs that are submitted late lose points. The Physical Education course in 6th grade will help the student in making good choices that contribute to a healthy lifestyle. These healthy choices are learned through Nutrition, Fitness and Sports. The student will understand the functions of the Cardiovascular, Skeletal and Muscular Systems and the ways to keep the Body Systems healthy. The student will be able to apply rules and regulations in selected sports. Tactical skills used by athletes and coaches in sports will be analyzed and explained. Lastly, outdoor activities will be explored and how they can be lifelong activities to keep you healthy. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. Partial Courses - Monthly courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 weeks Delivery Method
