Course Description The Middle School Art Studies course is based on learning creative techniques, artistic expression, and understanding of the basic fundamentals. Information on Still lifes, Portraiture, and Sculpture are just some subjects touched on throughout the course. Art history is also a large portion of the lessons as we speak of different time periods and artists relating to the subjects at hand. Procedures to create the artwork as well as background information is given, this enables the student to have a hands-on opportunity. We want our students to be able to go out into the world and really "see" and experience what nature and life has to offer. Students can explore their creative interests through their explorations during this course.
