Course Description 8th Grade Integrated Science is designed to present lessons that build on established scientific concepts. These concepts are reinforced with writing and laboratory assignments. Students will study select topics from chemistry, environmental science, and biology. Chemistry science topics include atoms, the periodic table, properties of matter, and chemical reactions. Environmental science topics covered include climate and weather, weather hazards, the atmosphere, and the hydrosphere. Biology topics make up the largest part of the course and include properties of life, cells, respiration and photosynthesis, mitosis, inheritance, adaptation, evolution, and biodiversity. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. Partial Courses - Monthly courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 weeks Delivery Method
