Course Description Japanese I provides a foundation of listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing, and speaking in modern Japanese. In this course, students will learn to communicate and interact within the context of a variety of everyday situations such as family, school life, eating, shopping, and traveling. With Japanese I, students will be learning Hiragana and Katakana. They will also begin reading and writing characters (Kanji) in a systematic, progressive way. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. Course Materials Recommended English-Japanese Japanese-English Dictionary. A microphone is required and a headset is recommended. Format Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators.
