Course Description German III will advance student's knowledge of the German language, culture, and conversational skills. Vocabulary topics explored include: foreign currency, pocket money, Austria and Switzerland, places within a city, city characteristics, story comprehension, understanding German news and television scheduling, making reservations for a trip, giving opinions, and creating interviews. Grammar topics explored include prepositions including two-way prepositions, comparative and superlative, modal verbs, "dass" clause, present perfect tense adjectives to describe people's personality and physical characteristics. Writing, speaking, and listening assignments will test student's knowledge in multiple formats and modes of language learning. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. Prerequisites German I and II Course Materials A microphone is required and a headset recommended. A German-English dictionary is recommended but not required. Format Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators. Structure Complete : This is the complete version of the virtual course. |
