Course Description This course will build on knowledge from ASL 1 through increased vocabulary, conversation skills, facial expression, and visual spatial skills. Throughout the class, students will learn: classifiers, lexicalized fingerspelling, listing and ordering technique and conceptually accurate signing. Upon completion of ASL 2, students will have a greater understanding of Deaf Culture and History, including educational options, language/communication options, and Gallaudet University. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. Partial Courses - Monthly courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 1 month Delivery Method
Prerequisites ASL 1 Course Materials Students must have access to a video camera and the Internet. An ASL dictionary is recommended. Format Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators. Structure Complete : This is the complete version of the virtual course. |
