Course Description This is an honors level course that challenges students with capstone analysis, evaluation, and creativity. Students are required to complete honors capstone assignments in each semester of the course, involving research, creation, and/or the extensive use of multimedia. French I provides a solid foundation for reading, speaking, listening, writing, and understanding of French language and culture. The lessons throughout this course progressively develop the student’s proficiency by starting on themes such as greetings and self-descriptions. From this base, the student is then encouraged to look outward on common topics such as the classroom, home, community, and leisure activities. Students will also be able to apply grammatical knowledge of present tense verb constructions, commands, possession, and noun adjective agreement. Course Materials A microphone is required and a headset is recommended. Format Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators.
