Course Description The Gothic Literature course focuses on the elements of Gothic horror. Students read examples of Gothic literature including Frankenstein, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dracula, The Raven, and The Hound of the Baskervilles, while breaking down what qualities that make these stories examples of Gothic literature. Students respond to these texts through discussion forums and essays while also learning strategies and techniques to improve their literary analysis and writing.
