Course Description Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Chinese language and the richness of its diverse cultures. In the Chinese I course; you will learn beginning vocabulary and some supporting grammar skills to help build basic fluency and language proficiency. Emphasis is placed on proficient communication skills and an introduction to reading and writing is also included. In addition, you will explore the culture and apply what you learn through novice written practice, listening, reading, and speaking exercises. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. Partial Courses - Monthly courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 1 month Delivery Method
Course Materials Microphone and recording device are required. Headset is recommended. Students may wish to purchase a Chinese - English dictionary. Format Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators.
