Course Description What makes us human? Is it our ability to use language, tools, or technology? In the first half of the course, trace the history of homo sapiens and explore our evolutionary trail through an anthropologic lens to observe our movement from cave dwellers to modern humans. Learn how we forged our way and developed all of the things that make us humans, such as our cultures, languages, and religions. In the second half of the course, you will examine ancient cultures' views on life, death, art, and survival. We begin to understand how ancient cultures flourished. In looking back and learning about cultures, we are better equipped to understand the world around us.
