Course Description This course is specifically for the students in the state of North Carolina. The fundamental purpose of Earth-Environmental is to understand the processes and relationships of living organisms and the nonliving factors that support them, as well examine the Earth and its place in the universe. This class will introduce students to the scientific method and explore the process of science as a way of obtaining and interpreting reliable knowledge. Content knowledge students will learn includes regions of the US, chemistry of Earth, environmental hazards, climate and weather, rocks and minerals, the oceans, plate tectonics and natural formations, the spheres of Earth (biosphere, hydrosphere, etc), human impact on Earth, space and Earth’s place in the universe, and human space exploration. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. Partial Courses - Monthly courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 weeks Delivery Method
