Course Description
The AP® Microeconomics course is designed for students to examine, interpret, analyze, and model key microeconomics concepts and processes, from the necessity of positive externalities and public goods to the various monopolies that exist, as well as the importance of elasticity. Notable figures from the field of economics will also be examined. The course is based on the six units of required content in the AP® Microeconomics Course and Exam Description outlined by College Board. These are Basic Economic Concepts, Supply and Demand, Production, Cost, and the Perfect Competition Model, Imperfect Competition, Factor Markets, and Market Failure and the Role of Government.

This course does not include registration for the AP Exam Offering. Students planning to take the AP exam are required to register and sit locally for the AP Exam.
