Course Description French III builds upon what was presented in French I and II. Students will work with the French language through in-depth lessons, participate in thoughtful forum discussions, and learn to interpret and produce the language in both written and oral form. New vocabulary topics explored include going to the dentist's office, going to a doctor's office, body parts, the pharmacy, a healthy life, eating right, emergencies, the news, things to do on the weekend, a stay abroad, traveling by train and plane, staying at a hotel or youth hostel, technology, one's town or city, television and movies, describing people in depth, and francophone countries of the world. New verb tenses and grammar concepts are presented and students are challenged to write and speak on their own. By the end of the course, students will be able to use new grammatical structures like the imperfect, future, conditional, and present subjunctive tenses, as well as, direct object pronouns. Scheduling Information COMPLETE COURSES -A complete version of the virtual course. - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months ABBREVIATED COURSES - A shortened course intended for students seeking to recover credits or make-up failed courses during the regular school year or over the summer. - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. PARTIAL COURSES - A partial version of an online course intended for students temporarily away from classes (i.e. Home Bound Instruction, In/Out-of School Suspension). - Partial courses must be completed by your school's end date Format -Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators. Delivery Method Prerequisites French II The course is conducted almost entirely in French. Course Materials Headset/Microphone is required.
