Course Description
This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of fundamental concepts and their applications while reinforcing and developing skills essential for continued success as lifelong learners. Commencing with the Colonization and Settlement of the New World and winding its way through America’s history into Reconstruction, students will have the opportunity to learn about the nation’s past while exploring their own place in America. Students will learn of the colonization, the Revolutionary Era, the forming of the New Nation, the Civil War, and Reconstruction. Citizenship, government, geography, economic, and sociological topics are incorporated throughout.
