Course Description This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of fundamental concepts and their applications while reinforcing and developing skills essential for continued success as life long learners. Sociology offers a wide-ranging coverage of the core concepts and theories related to the study of sociology. Students are led through a series of lessons that emphasize the behavioral science of groups, communities, and societies. The process of socialization, norms, scientific research, social behavior, social institutions, culture, population, minorities, and changes to the informal and formal structure of society are explored in depth.
