Course Description This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of fundamental concepts and their applications while reinforcing and developing skills essential for continued success as lifelong learners. Modern World History (1500 to present) begins with the Renaissance and continues to the present day. Lessons cover such important events as the Age of Revolution, the Age of Imperialism, The World at War, and modern events such as the creation of the United Nations and the conflicts in the Middle East. Lessons are drawn from sociology, government, and humanities, which provides students the opportunity to synthesize material from multiple disciplines. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days.
