Course Description This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of fundamental concepts and their applications while reinforcing and developing skills essential for continued success as life long learners. Global Studies is intended to expose students to the various geographical, historical, and cultural intricacies of various regions of the world. Lessons are drawn from world history, geography, humanities and economics, and blended together to give students perspective on the cultures within the regions of the world. Upon completing this course students will have gained a vast understanding of the world that surrounds them. Students will be exposed to causes of global political unrest and social instability, as well as numerous religions which help bind cultures/regions together. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days. Format Delivery : This is a virtual course delivered entirely by an established education organization, including a virtual instructor, to students and educators.
