Course Description This course presents lessons in science skills in conjunction with living things for the middle school student. The student has the opportunity to review what scientists have contributed to society, learn the steps and processes in the scientific method, investigate inventions and careers in the field and learn basic concepts in the plant and animal kingdoms. Systems of the body, extinction, and evolution are introduced. The overall objective is to inspire higher order thinking skills in progressive adaptations ultimately involving the environment and society. Self Paced Scheduling Information Complete Courses - Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 9 months - 1/2 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 4 months - 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 2 months Abbreviated Courses - Abbreviated Full Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 60 days. - Abbreviated 1/2 and 1/4 Credit Equivalent courses must be completed by your school's end date and within 30 days.
